A clean exterior is only half the job. Here's how to get a near-detail interior in about 15 minutes using our heavy-duty vacuums.
1. Empty everything
Trash, loose items, car seats if possible, and floor mats. You can't clean what you can't reach.
2. Shake and rinse the mats
Rubber mats can be rinsed in the bay with the high-pressure wand. Carpet mats: shake, then vacuum both sides.
3. Vacuum top to bottom
- Dash, console and door pockets (use the crevice nozzle)
- Seats: push into the seams and between cushions
- Slide seats forward and back to reach the floor underneath
- Carpets and footwells
- Trunk and spare tire area
4. Wipe hard surfaces
Use interior wipes or a damp microfiber on the dash, steering wheel, shifter, door panels and screens (use a screen-safe cloth).
5. Glass last
Clean glass after you've wiped everything else so you don't re-smudge it.
6. Freshen up
Odors usually come from something under a seat or in the carpet. Vacuum thoroughly first, then add a light air freshener (our vending machines have options).
Keep a mini cleaning kit in the car
- Microfiber towels
- Interior wipes
- A small trash bag
- Glass cleaner
Houston heat tip
Don't leave aerosol cleaners, lighters or electronics in a hot car: interiors in a Houston summer can get dangerously hot.
